A delightful DC oddity that is definitely worth finding. From what I can tell the thing changes based on season or event and when I went the display had a delightfully biting satirical edge. Whoever owns this clearly puts a lot of care and creativity into the display. I’m totally considering coming back around sometime to see what the theme will be next time. 100% worth finding

A must-see when in NW DC. This is yard art at it’s eccentric & capricious best. The theme changes with the seasons, holidays and quite often, commentary on whatever the social buzz is about, be that local, national or international news. The homeowner is clearly very creative, thoughtful and having a lot of fun. You should too whenever you visit the Barbie Pond on Q!

if you’re in the neighborhood it’s worth a stop. Same vibes as the peeing boy statue in Brussels- cheeky, festive and fun. Happy Hanukkah!

Barbie pond is just a cute little front yard decoration but it’s a fun little visit while in DC. It’s a nice expression of opinion and art. It’s fun and cute. It’s nice to see someone expressing themselves artistically in a way that brings their community joy. I would love to live in the area to have the pleasure of seeing it be updated every holiday. Very cute and different.
