Best Haircut and Fade in the game! I’ve been going to Val for several years and she is by far the best barber I’ve ever had. My fiancé is obsessed with my hair after I get a fresh cut from Val. She is quick and efficient both with haircut, beard trim, and shampoo wash which is great for my busy schedule. Val even cuts my kids hair too so it’s one stop shop for us. She has a heart of gold and is a master at her craft, highly recommend Val for anyone in need of a great barber. 10/10!

I had an appointment for 4:30PM. I arrived early by 4:15PM and the barber seemed to be wrapping up with another customer. Before I sat down on the chair, I looked at my phone and it was 4:20PM and set it aside. When I walked out of the saloon, it was 4:29PM. In under 9 minutes, I was given an haircut, a shampoo, I paid the charges, got the change and walked out. In 5 years, this is the highest I have paid and the most rushed and substandard haircut I have received.

The haircut was rushed through, the barber paid no attention to details, did not even check if the neckline was straight and I had to point out after which she corrected. It felt like I was getting a haircut in the armed forces on my first day like on an assembly line. I came home and noticed that the the trim on the left side was deeper and reached higher than the right side. It is the job of the barber to verify if the haircut on all sides were even and if it meets the standards for which the customer paid. It is not the customer's responsibility and may not even notice at that instant because it is hard to see your hair all around, yourself in the mirror.

Frankly, I do not care about fineness of the outcome as much as how this whole experience made me feel. I read good reviews and I assumed the higher cost was justified because the barber would provide finer haircut. It seems like a lot of folks did get what the paid for and that's good for them. But for whatever reason, the barber decided to provide me a substandard and unfair service. The whole demeanor of the barber was like "get out of here, this is all you get". I just walked out feeling disappointed and discriminated. Still, I only decided to give a rating after I noticed that the haircut was uneven after reaching home.

And now, when I exercise my right to express my experience on a public forum, the barber is trying to play victim, guilt trip and manipulate me. I will not let my voice, however inconsequential it may be, suppressed. Treat people fairly and they will treat you alike.

I have been going to Val for at least 6 months now, and I can't imagine sitting in anyone else's chair. I've always had a hard time relaxing during a haircut (control freak here), but Val is confident, attentive, and a seriously great barber. I always feel a little taller walking out of her shop - which itslef is like a VIP suite hiding in a classic barber shop.

Simply put, Val is the full package. Couldn't ask for more.

Barber Val is awesome. For background, I’m a Marine veteran and have always kept the medium skin fade like I used to get in the Corps, except, it’s often times difficult to find a barber who can really cut a quality fade and I’m very picky. Val went above and beyond. I told her what I wanted, and she not only cut a perfect medium fade, but her years of experience is what set her apart and instead of just taking a set amount off the top, she worked with the shape of my head and my type of hair to help accentuate and contour the top while still maintaining the look I wanted. Every other barber simply throws on a guard or scissors to a specific length on the top. Val did what I haven’t had a barber do in years. She’s also a blast to chat with and it’s so much fun every time I go. Highly recommend!
